Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has announced the opening of applications for its national Teacher Trainee Program, targeting 1,020 Kuwaiti citizens with non-education university degrees as part of efforts to prepare qualified national teaching professionals for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Registration opened on Sunday, October 18, and will continue until Thursday, October 22, 2026, through the Dal electronic platform. Applications are open to eligible Kuwaiti citizens regardless of their registration status with the Civil Service Commission.

The targeted specializations include mathematics, science, chemistry, physics, biology, geology, French, Chinese, Spanish, philosophy, law, computer science, electrical and electronic disciplines, commercial and industrial fields, and music education.

Applicants must hold Kuwaiti citizenship, be no older than 35 at the time of application, and possess a bachelor’s degree in an approved specialization. They must also provide a criminal record clearance certificate, undergo drug screening, and pass the required medical examination.

The training program lasts one year, combining 45 percent theoretical preparation with 55 percent practical field training. Participants must achieve a minimum passing score of 75 percent to complete the program successfully.

The ministry emphasized that applying does not guarantee acceptance or employment. Applicants currently holding jobs must resign from their positions if accepted into the program, subject to the applicable procedures. Eligible candidates should review all requirements and complete registration before the deadline.
