The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has officially launched the "MEDAD" initiative, a groundbreaking training program designed to attract UAE nationals and long-term residents to the private school teaching sector. This initiative aims to diversify the teaching talent pool by recruiting individuals with diverse professional backgrounds and a deep understanding of UAE values.

In this context, the program offers a flexible four-week intensive training phase that utilizes a self-paced learning model. This allows aspiring teachers to gain essential pedagogical skills, including classroom management, modern teaching methodologies, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, in a way that fits their personal schedules.

Furthermore, the "MEDAD" program is specifically tailored for those who possess a strong grasp of UAE culture, including parents who wish to play a more active role in the educational journey of their children. The initiative provides a unique opportunity to transfer real-world experiences into the classroom, enriching the learning environment for students across Abu Dhabi.

On the other hand, successful graduates of the program will be eligible for part-time teaching positions, providing a flexible career path with opportunities for further professional development. Outstanding participants may also be fast-tracked to the second cohort of the "Be The Teacher" program, which offers a fully funded Diploma in Education.

Notably, ADEK emphasized that this initiative reflects Abu Dhabi's commitment to building a high-quality educational ecosystem. Interested candidates can now apply through the official ADEK talent portal to start their journey toward shaping the next generation.
