During a press conference at the White House last night, President Donald Trump engaged in a heated exchange with CNN correspondent Kristine Holmes. The confrontation arose when Holmes questioned the President about his communication with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Holmes, who serves as the chief White House correspondent for CNN, asked President Trump if Kim had requested a reduction in the joint military exercises conducted by the United States and South Korea. In response, Trump retorted sharply, instructing her to "be quiet" and accusing her of being "loud and arrogant" while spreading "fake news."

Previously, Trump had expressed his discontent on Truth Social regarding the long-standing military drills between the U.S. and South Korea. Citing his favorable relationship with Kim Jong-un, he indicated plans to direct Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to significantly scale back these exercises.

As Holmes attempted to press further on whether Trump had communicated with Kim about reducing the military activities, the President interrupted, repeatedly telling her to "be quiet" and labeling her as a "fake journalist" disseminating falsehoods.

The White House event also saw Holmes questioning Trump about a comment made by Senator Jon Ossoff from Georgia earlier that day. Ossoff had criticized Trump during a campaign rally, suggesting that he was more interested in personal endeavors than fulfilling presidential duties. This comment referenced Natalie Harp, Trump's executive assistant, who was reportedly among a select group of officials secretly moved from Air Force One to a smaller military aircraft in Turkey due to security threats from Iran.

Following the confrontation in the Oval Office, the White House's "Rapid Response 47" account took to platform X to denounce Holmes's actions. The post described her as a disgrace to journalism, accusing her of using the occasion to harshly criticize one of Trump's staff members while he hosted a "heroic savior" in the Oval Office.

The White House communications team further commented that Holmes's question would one day embarrass her children, expressing concern over her purportedly cruel and vindictive behavior.
