Lufthansa Group has confirmed that significant schedule adjustments remain in place for several airports in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with different suspension and resumption dates applying to each destination as operational conditions across the Middle East continue to be reviewed.

According to the latest information published through the group’s official channels, flights between Frankfurt and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh remain suspended until October 16, 2026, meaning the route is not expected to return to its normal operating schedule before that date unless a new update is issued.

In eastern Saudi Arabia, services involving King Fahd International Airport in Dammam face a longer suspension period. Current information indicates that the suspension will remain in place until November 30, 2026, making Dammam one of the destinations affected for a significantly longer period than Riyadh.

In the United Arab Emirates, services involving Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi remain suspended until October 24, 2026, with any return to normal operations still subject to the airline group’s continuing assessment of safety and operational conditions.

Dubai International Airport is on a different timetable, with Lufthansa Group currently planning a gradual resumption of services from October 25, 2026. This creates a clear distinction between Dubai and the other affected destinations in Riyadh, Dammam and Abu Dhabi.

The updates show that Lufthansa Group is not applying one single schedule across the region. Instead, each route is being assessed separately, making it important for passengers to check the status of their own flight rather than relying on information related to another destination.

The published information does not include a complete list of all affected flight numbers, and the group has also warned that schedules may be adjusted again if operating conditions change. This means current suspension periods could still be extended or shortened in future updates.

Passengers with upcoming bookings through King Khalid International Airport, King Fahd International Airport, Zayed International Airport or Dubai International Airport are advised to verify their latest flight status directly through official Lufthansa Group channels before travelling to the airport.

The suspension of Lufthansa Group services does not mean that any of these airports are closed or that all airlines have stopped operating there. The measures apply specifically to Lufthansa Group services, while other carriers continue to operate according to their own schedules and operational assessments.
