Dubai International Airport has recorded a strong operational rebound for June, with 3.68 million scheduled seats in one direction and a total of 7.36 million seats across both directions, according to OAG aviation data, highlighting the rapid recovery of one of the world’s busiest global air hubs following recent regional disruptions.
The data confirms that the airport continues to restore its operations steadily, supported by the full recovery of UAE airspace capacity, as Dubai Airports has expanded flight activity and increased operational throughput in alignment with available regional air corridors, improving efficiency and stabilizing airline schedules.
Despite earlier challenges including partial airspace closures across the region, Dubai International maintained its global competitiveness, ranking as the second busiest international hub in June, demonstrating strong operational resilience and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving aviation conditions.
Following the complete removal of precautionary restrictions, Dubai Airports accelerated daily flight movements while enabling airlines to gradually rebuild their schedules, with several international carriers resuming services, including a Russian airline from June 1, Turkish Airlines on June 9, and Air France from June 10.
Meanwhile, Emirates Airline continues expanding its global network, now operating flights to 137 destinations across 72 countries with increasing seat capacity and frequency, while flydubai is expected to surpass 100 destinations this summer, resuming seasonal routes and launching daily flights to Bangkok, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global aviation hub.
