Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has announced a major decision to cancel all examination results from the fourth phase of the selection process for educational supervisory positions, ordering fresh examinations for all applicants covered by the affected phase following an official investigation into reported irregularities.
In a statement issued on Thursday, October 15, 2026, the ministry confirmed that Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei approved the decision after reviewing the findings of an independent investigation committee established to examine complaints and concerns raised by applicants and members of the educational community.
The investigation revealed that examination questions from the fourth phase had been circulated improperly through social media platforms. According to the ministry, these practices undermined fair competition and equal opportunities among candidates seeking educational supervisory responsibilities.
The committee examined several aspects of the examination process, including the preparation and programming of electronic tests, their administration, and the procedures followed during leadership training courses associated with the selection process. Its work also addressed the confidentiality of examination materials and the reliability of the assessment procedures.
The investigation committee included specialists from Kuwait’s Fatwa and Legislation Department and the Ministry of Education. It reviewed complaints and irregularities associated with the supervisory examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year before submitting its final findings and recommendations to the minister.
Following the investigation, the ministry decided that all results from the fourth-phase examinations would be invalidated and that the examinations would be conducted again for all affected applicants. The measure is intended to ensure that candidates are assessed through consistent procedures that meet the required standards of fairness and transparency.
Regarding the new examination schedule, the ministry explained that its Educational Affairs Sector would oversee the necessary arrangements. The dates, locations, examination durations, and required academic content will be determined and officially announced at a later stage.
Applicants who attended the fourth-phase leadership training courses will receive information about the revised examination arrangements and the requirements they must follow. Additional safeguards will also be introduced to protect the confidentiality of examination questions and prevent similar irregularities from occurring again.
The Ministry of Education emphasized that protecting applicants’ rights and maintaining confidence in the selection process remain essential priorities. It stressed that appointments to educational supervisory positions must be based on objective criteria, properly administered assessments, and equal opportunities for all eligible candidates.
The decision means that the previously announced fourth-phase examination results will no longer be used for the relevant selection process. Affected applicants should monitor official Ministry of Education announcements for the revised examination timetable and further instructions, rather than relying on unconfirmed information circulating online.
