A formal decision has been issued to revoke Kuwaiti citizenship from four individuals, along with anyone who may have acquired it through dependency, in accordance with Article 21 bis A of the Nationality Law, reflecting stricter oversight of naturalization cases.
Authorities confirmed that the move is grounded in a clear legal framework targeting cases where citizenship was obtained unlawfully, including through fraud, false statements, or invalid documentation, ensuring the integrity of the legal system.
The law stipulates that citizenship certificates can be withdrawn if they are proven to have been granted without legitimate grounds, with the decision issued by decree based on a proposal from the Minister of Interior and approval from the Supreme Committee for Nationality Investigation.
As a result, the revocation also applies to individuals who obtained citizenship through association with the original holder, expanding the legal impact of the decision to all related cases.
This action underscores the government’s commitment to transparency and strict adherence to nationality laws, alongside ongoing reviews of files to prevent irregularities and maintain the integrity of the national legal framework.
