The Al-Ajiri Scientific Center announced that Kuwait will enter the “Al-Jabhah” season on September 6, marking the first stage of autumn and the second season associated with the Suhail star. The period will continue for 13 days until September 18, bringing more moderate conditions, especially at night.

The arrival of “Al-Jabhah” signals a gradual shift in Kuwait’s weather, with cooler nighttime conditions, moderate temperatures and longer hours of darkness. These changes mark the beginning of the seasonal transition away from the intense summer heat.

The center also noted that the “Al-Safari” season will begin during the final third of September and last for 26 days. This transitional period between summer and winter may bring temperature fluctuations, stronger winds, dust and sandstorms, as well as morning fog and increased activity among migratory birds.

The skies over Kuwait will also feature seven notable astronomical events throughout September. They include the Moon’s conjunction with Mars on September 6, its conjunction with Jupiter on September 9, the new crescent of Rabi’ al-Thani on September 11, and a Moon-Venus conjunction on September 14.

Venus will reach its brightest point of 2026 on September 22, followed by the autumnal equinox on September 23. The Moon will become full on September 26, while September 27 will bring nearly equal nighttime and daytime hours in Kuwait before the nights gradually begin to lengthen.
