The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised its citizens to avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary to Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan, due to ongoing health developments related to the spread of the Ebola virus in these countries and the increasing risks it poses to travelers.

The ministry emphasized that this warning comes as part of its continuous efforts to monitor the conditions of UAE citizens abroad and ensure their safety, stressing the importance of adhering to all official instructions and alerts issued under such exceptional circumstances.

It also urged citizens currently present in the affected countries to exercise maximum caution and strictly follow all health and safety guidelines issued by the authorities in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan to minimize potential risks.

The ministry highlighted the importance of registering in the “Twajudi” service, which enables authorities to track citizens abroad and maintain communication with them when necessary, ensuring rapid response in emergency situations.
