Saudi Arabia has introduced a process allowing skilled expatriates who head households to arrange entry visas for eligible family members while completing their own work-visa procedures, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Ministry of Interior said the measure applies to spouses, sons aged under 25 and unmarried daughters of eligible skilled expatriates.

Under the new arrangement, family members can receive entry visas at the same time as the principal applicant's work visa is being processed. Their residency formalities can then be completed after they arrive in the Kingdom.

The ministry said post-arrival residency procedures will remain subject to the applicable regulations and guidelines.
