Flydubai has cancelled all services to Riyadh, Dammam and Abha through and including November 1, citing continuing Houthi attacks targeting Saudi airports.

The Dubai-based carrier said it expects the situation to cause disruption to its wider scheduled operations in Saudi Arabia. A Flydubai spokesperson said the airline was monitoring developments closely and would communicate any changes to its timetable through its official channels.

Passengers were advised to check their flight status regularly and to ensure that their contact information is current so they can receive the latest updates from the airline.

Flights to other Saudi destinations remain in operation, according to Flydubai. The carrier continues to serve Jeddah, Taif, Tabuk, Madina, Al-Qassim and Ha’il.

The cancellations came as Saudi Arabia dealt with incoming Houthi missiles on Thursday. At least two ballistic missiles heading towards Riyadh were intercepted and destroyed, according to the information reported.

The Saudi-led coalition also said it intercepted a cruise missile launched overnight by Yemen's Houthi movement towards the kingdom's western region.

Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence said late on Thursday that debris from two ballistic missiles intercepted over Riyadh injured one Saudi citizen and caused material damage to a house and a vehicle. The missiles were launched by Yemen's Houthi militia, the Civil Defence spokesperson said, adding that authorities had taken the necessary procedures.
