Saudia is the national airline of Saudi Arabia. Headquartered in Jeddah, it operates domestic and international passenger services.
Saudia, officially Saudi Arabian Airlines, is the national airline of Saudi Arabia and a member of the SkyTeam alliance. It was founded in 1945 after King Abdulaziz received an aircraft from U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and it began commercial operations that year. The airline is headquartered in Jeddah, with King Abdulaziz International Airport serving as its principal hub. It also maintains operational hubs in Riyadh, Dammam and Medina. Its network links cities within Saudi Arabia with destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Saudia operates a fleet that includes Airbus and Boeing aircraft. It provides passenger and cargo services through companies and units within Saudia Group. The airline uses IATA code SV, ICAO code SVA and the callsign “SAUDIA.”
