Kuwait’s Cabinet has issued a firm warning against the spread of rumors and misinformation, urging both citizens and residents to verify the accuracy of any news before sharing it, especially amid sensitive regional developments that may impact national stability and public confidence.

The Cabinet emphasized that circulating unverified information represents a direct threat to social security, as it can trigger confusion and unnecessary panic, calling on the public to rely exclusively on official and credible sources for accurate updates.

Authorities confirmed that all relevant government entities are committed to providing continuous and transparent updates through official communication channels, ensuring that verified information reaches the public in a timely manner.

The Cabinet stressed that any violations of laws regulating information dissemination will face strict legal consequences, highlighting a zero-tolerance approach toward individuals who contribute to spreading false news or disrupting public order.

These statements were made during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, where officials reviewed the latest regional security and military developments affecting Kuwait.

During the session, the Minister of Defense delivered a comprehensive briefing on ongoing military developments in the region, particularly in light of recent Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and their resulting operational implications.

He highlighted the ongoing efforts of specialized military units, especially explosive ordnance disposal teams within the land forces engineering division, which are actively handling remnants of shrapnel and unexploded materials during ceasefire periods.

The minister clarified that explosion sounds reported recently were not linked to any new attacks, but were the result of controlled detonations conducted to safely eliminate hazardous remnants from previous incidents.

These operations are part of precautionary safety measures aimed at protecting the public and removing any potential threats caused by leftover military debris, while ensuring that the situation remains fully under control according to the highest safety standards.

The Cabinet concluded by stressing the importance of public cooperation during such critical times, urging everyone to follow official guidance and depend solely on government sources for accurate and reliable information.
