The State Security Agency announced a successful and highly coordinated operation that led to the dismantling of a covert terrorist cell and the arrest of all its members within the country, following extensive surveillance that revealed plans aimed at undermining national unity and destabilizing public security through organized sabotage activities.

Initial investigations confirmed that the group maintained direct ideological and operational links with external entities associated with Iran’s doctrine of guardianship, adopting extremist narratives and structured guidance designed to influence internal dynamics and create instability within the UAE.

Authorities revealed that the network relied on covert recruitment strategies, including closed-door meetings and structured communication with foreign handlers, targeting young individuals in an attempt to shape their ideological alignment and facilitate access to sensitive sectors within the country.

Further intelligence findings showed that members conducted meetings both domestically and abroad with suspicious organizations, actively spreading misleading narratives and attempting to incite opposition to state policies, while also collecting funds through unofficial channels and transferring them to external entities to support illicit operations.

The State Security Agency confirmed that charges include forming and managing a secret organization, pledging allegiance to foreign entities, and threatening social cohesion, emphasizing its firm commitment to confronting any threats to national security while urging citizens and residents to report suspicious activities through official channels to maintain stability and public safety.
