UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the adoption of a comprehensive national healthcare system designed to deliver integrated medical services and high-quality care for all citizens, marking a major strategic shift that reinforces healthcare as a central pillar of national development and quality of life.

The newly approved system is built on the rollout of a unified national health insurance framework that covers all emirates, ensuring seamless coordination across healthcare entities while aligning with global best practices to improve efficiency, service delivery, and long-term sustainability of medical services.

This initiative reflects a forward-looking vision aimed at building a world-class healthcare sector driven by preventive care, digital transformation, innovation, and strong public health foundations, while also enhancing infrastructure and ensuring that citizens can easily access advanced medical services across the country.
