The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of a school principal following the widespread circulation of a video showing his inappropriate behavior with a female student. The incident has sparked significant public outcry and demands for accountability.

In a statement posted on Facebook on Monday, the ministry detailed their response to the video, which had been shared extensively on social media platforms. The footage reportedly depicts a principal from a school in Giza behaving inappropriately with a student inside his office.

Authorities were able to locate the individual in question within the Sohag Governorate. He was subsequently apprehended, and legal action has been initiated against him. He is currently set to be presented before the public prosecutor's office for further proceedings.

The video began circulating online on Sunday, showing the principal seated beside a young girl before allegedly making inappropriate advances. This footage led many concerned parents and community members to call for an immediate investigation into the matter.

In response to the incident, Egypt's Ministry of Education placed the private school, known as Happy Land, under direct financial and administrative oversight. This decision followed allegations of misconduct involving one of its students.

Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his outrage at such incidents, emphasizing that they are direct violations of educational and moral values and would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He has directed that the school's management be overseen by a committee from the ministry and ordered all school officials involved to be referred to the ministry's legal affairs department for investigation.
