On Friday, Egypt issued a strong condemnation against what it described as blatant Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which resulted in several injuries. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement denouncing these actions.

According to the statement, the ongoing assaults represent a significant violation of UAE sovereignty and a direct challenge to international law and the United Nations Charter. Such actions are seen as a threat to both regional security and stability. Egypt expressed its concern about the potential repercussions of these attacks.

The statement further highlighted that these Iranian actions represent an unacceptable escalation, undermining both regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and establishing stability in the area.

Egypt reaffirmed its unwavering support for the UAE, backing all measures taken by the nation to safeguard its security and preserve its resources.

A day before the official statement, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi made a brief visit to Abu Dhabi where he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During this meeting, el-Sisi reiterated his condemnation of what he termed as 'Iranian terrorist attacks' targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure within the UAE.

The visit also revealed for the first time the presence of Egyptian air forces stationed in the UAE. President el-Sisi and Sheikh Al Nahyan inspected the Egyptian fighter jet detachment based in the country, assessing their readiness and operational enhancements to face various challenges, as reported by the Emirates News Agency.
