Uber, in partnership with Dubai Airports, has opened a dedicated passenger waiting lounge at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, introducing a new facility designed to improve the arrival and ground transportation experience for travelers.
The initiative forms part of the objectives of the Steering Committee for Preserving the Aesthetic Image of Dubai, which seeks to maintain the emirate’s high standards of appearance, organization, operational excellence, and overall quality of life.
The new lounge is located directly near the main designated pickup points for users of Uber and Careem, providing passengers arriving in Dubai with a comfortable, fully air-conditioned space while they wait for their vehicles.
The facility is particularly designed to improve passenger comfort during the summer months, while also establishing a more organized approach to ground transportation at one of the world’s busiest international airports.
The joint initiative reflects the commitment of the participating organizations to delivering a world-class mobility experience while improving the urban environment and traffic flow within the airport. By helping passengers wait away from crowded curbside areas and improving the movement of vehicles and travelers, the new lounge is expected to reduce congestion and create a smoother arrival experience from the moment visitors enter Dubai International Airport.
Saeed Al Nazari, Secretary General of the Steering Committee for Preserving the Aesthetic Image of Dubai, said that Dubai offers an exceptional urban experience that begins the moment visitors arrive and extends across every detail of the city. Tala Nasouli, General Manager of Uber in the United Arab Emirates, said the company aims to make transportation easier throughout every stage of a journey, adding that the new lounge provides Uber and Careem users with a modern and integrated environment where they can wait comfortably before heading to their vehicles.
Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports, said the arrival experience marks the beginning of the journey for millions of travelers and that the airport seeks to ensure their first impression is smooth, comfortable, and representative of Dubai. The new lounge has been designed to serve business travelers, tourists, and residents, while its opening at Terminal 3 represents the first phase of broader efforts to enhance ground transportation at Dubai Airports. Additional features focused on passenger comfort are also planned for the coming weeks.
