The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has officially announced the Eid Al Adha and Arafat Day holiday schedule for 2026, confirming that the public holiday for ministries and federal entities will begin on Monday, May 25, 2026, a highly anticipated update for government employees who plan their personal and family activities around official holiday calendars each year.

According to the announcement, the holiday will continue until Friday, May 29, 2026, granting employees a five day break that provides ample time to observe Eid traditions, spend quality time with family, and enjoy travel or leisure activities, while also supporting a healthy work life balance across the federal workforce.

The authority confirmed that official working hours will resume on Monday, June 1, 2026, marking the end of the holiday period and the return of normal operations across all ministries and federal institutions, with an emphasis on punctuality and operational readiness to maintain high quality government service delivery.
