Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has officially inaugurated the Mall of the Emirates Smart Bus Station, marking a significant milestone in the city’s journey toward a fully digital and integrated public transport ecosystem powered by advanced smart technologies and sustainable solutions.
The smart station features a modern and environmentally conscious design aligned with RTA’s institutional identity, with all customer services transformed into proactive digital and interactive platforms available 24/7, significantly reducing waiting times and enhancing the overall passenger experience through seamless and efficient service delivery.
This innovative station represents a forward-looking model for the future of public transportation in Dubai, combining cutting-edge technology, operational efficiency, and sustainability, with plans to expand the concept across the emirate to further strengthen integration between transport modes and deliver smarter mobility solutions.
Mattar Al Tayer emphasized that the launch of the first smart bus station is a major step in RTA’s strategy to build a fully integrated and attractive public transport environment, offering safe, smooth, and technology-driven mobility services that align with Dubai’s vision of becoming the best city in the world to live and work in.
The station is equipped with advanced digital systems including real-time information displays, occupancy tracking for incoming buses, a smart kiosk with virtual assistant support, AI-powered surveillance for crowd management, as well as sustainable technologies such as solar panels and air quality monitoring systems, enhancing efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
