America decides to explore the reality show for immigrants seeking American citizenship

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is currently reviewing a concept for a reality television show that would allow immigrants to compete for the chance to become U.S. citizens.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the proposal is in its preliminary stages and has not yet received official approval or rejection from DHS officials. Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the department, clarified in an email to The Washington Post that Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi L. Noem has yet to review the idea.

The concept was brought forth by Rob Worsoff, a Canadian writer and producer known for his work on shows like A&Eโ€™s "Duck Dynasty" and Bravoโ€™s "Millionaire Matchmaker." Although Worsoff was unavailable for immediate comment, he informed the Wall Street Journal that he has received encouraging feedback from DHS and is in the early stages of discussions with television networks.
