The UAE is set for rain over the weekend with temperatures soaring near 48°C.
The United Arab Emirates is expected to experience rainfall this weekend, extending into the early days of next week. The forecast, shared by meteorological experts, indicates varied weather conditions across different parts of the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has outlined weather predictions up until Tuesday, August 11. Residents can expect not only sporadic showers but also continued high temperatures, with peaks reaching as high as 48 degrees Celsius.
Upcoming Weather Conditions in the UAE
- Saturday, August 9: The day will be predominantly fair to partly cloudy. However, convective cloud formations are likely eastward and southward in the afternoon, potentially bringing rain. Expect light to moderate winds from a southeasterly to northeasterly direction that may freshen during daylight hours, causing dust at speeds between 10–25 km/h and reaching up to 40 km/h. Both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will experience slight seas.
- Sunday, August 10: Similar to Saturday's outlook, conditions will remain fair to partly cloudy with potential convective clouds forming eastward by afternoon possibly resulting in precipitation. Winds will continue light to moderate from a southeasterly to northeasterly direction, occasionally intensifying during daytime with similar wind speeds and dusty conditions as Saturday. Seas will remain slight in both major bodies of water.
- Monday, August 11: Fair skies with intermittent cloudiness are anticipated once more. Possible cloud developments eastward might lead to rain later in the day. Wind patterns are expected to follow prior days' trends in terms of direction and speed but may reach only up to 35 km/h while maintaining slightly turbulent sea conditions.
- Tuesday, August 12: The forecast suggests a continuation of fair weather interspersed with partial cloudiness and afternoon possibilities of convective cloud formation towards the eastern regions which could bring further rainfall. Winds from southeast or northeast remain steady with similar dust-inducing effects at their peak speeds capping around 35 km/h; maritime conditions stay mild."
