Etihad Airways announced that it welcomed 1.7 million guests in April 2025, reflecting a notable increase of 21% compared to the same month last year. This positive trend indicates the airlineโ€™s ongoing recovery and expansion.

The airline achieved a passenger load factor of 89% in April, a marked improvement from the 84% recorded during the same period in 2024. This growth comes as Etihad continues to enhance its capacity and expand its fleet.

So far this year, Etihad has flown a total of 6.7 million passengers, surpassing the 5.7 million reported in the first four months of 2024. This positions the airline well on its path to exceed 21 million passengers throughout 2025, which would mark a new record.

CEO Comments on Growth

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, remarked, โ€œApril was another exceptionally strong month for Etihad, showcasing impressive passenger growth of 21% compared to the same timeframe last year.

โ€œHaving flown almost 7 million guests in just the first four months, we are building substantial momentum towards another record-breaking year.

Our April load factor of 89% indicates that travelers continue to choose Etihad for our quality service, extensive network, and overall value. We are on track to carry over 21 million guests in 2025, the highest number in our history.โ€

Neves concluded by emphasizing, โ€œAs we approach the busy summer season, we remain committed to our growth strategy while ensuring that we deliver the exceptional travel experience that our guests expect from Etihad.โ€
