Emirates has launched a new daily service to Hangzhou, officially making it the airline’s fifth destination in mainland China.

The new route, introduced just weeks after the addition of Shenzhen, highlights Emirates’ rapid expansion in East Asia and reinforces its strategic commitment to the Chinese market. The inaugural flight to Hangzhou welcomed passengers from across Emirates’ extensive global network, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Spain, Nigeria, and Brazil. A delegation of VIPs, including Emirates' senior executives and international media representatives, were also onboard.

Strategic Milestone in Emirates' East Asia Growth Plan

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of this milestone. “China has become one of the world’s leading aviation markets, and Emirates is proud to support its development. Launching two gateways in less than a month highlights the strong momentum of our East and Southeast Asia strategy,” he said. Kazim also noted the airline's growing role in connecting global economies, businesses, and travelers. “We are deeply grateful to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and our local partners for helping make this route a reality,” he added.

Daily Boeing 777 Flights Between Dubai and Hangzhou

The new route is operated by Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Flight EK310 departs Dubai at 09:40 and arrives in Hangzhou at 22:00. The return flight, EK311, takes off from Hangzhou at 00:10 and lands in Dubai at 04:55. In addition to seating for First, Business, and Economy Class passengers, the aircraft offers up to 16 tonnes of bellyhold cargo space per flight. This capacity enables Emirates to efficiently transport time-sensitive goods such as e-commerce parcels, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and other high-value products between the UAE and China.

Luxury Services Extended to Hangzhou

With the launch of the Hangzhou route, Emirates has also introduced its complimentary chauffeur-drive service for First and Business Class passengers. Travelers arriving in Hangzhou can now enjoy luxury transfers in Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicles within an 80-kilometre radius of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. The service is now available in over 70 cities globally, including other major Emirates destinations such as London, Paris, Milan, Shanghai, Beijing, and Dubai.

Strengthening Air Links Between China and the Middle East

Emirates now operates 49 weekly flights across five major Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou. With this growing network, the airline is establishing a vital air corridor for trade, tourism, and digital innovation between China and the Middle East-and beyond. The new Hangzhou route is expected to open further commercial opportunities for Chinese businesses and give global travelers enhanced access to one of China’s most dynamic tech hubs.
