The general command of Ajman Police announces the decision to oblige delivery bike drivers to drive in the first and second lanes from the right

In a step to enhance the safety of motorcyclists and users on the road, the general headquarters of Ajman Police announced the obligation of delivery bicycle drivers to drive in the first and second lanes from the right, and prevent them from using the third and fourth lanes during their movements within the emirate. These measures are part of the police's efforts to reduce accidents caused by the unsafe use of motorcycles.

This initiative is based on an advanced surveillance system that includes surveillance cameras "Ajman Dar Al-Aman" and smart gates, in addition to specialized patrols that will control any violations and non-compliance with reasonable instructions to walk in the specified lanes. This step is aimed at protecting the security and safety of all road users.

Over the past years, Ajman Police has launched intensive awareness campaigns targeting delivery companies and motorcyclists to enhance traffic safety and reduce accidents related to these bicycles. These campaigns focused on the importance of drivers adhering to traffic laws and safe driving procedures.

Ajman Police also warned of the danger of committing traffic violations, such as overtaking between vehicles, overtaking from the shoulder of the road, not adhering to the mandatory traffic line, and not leaving enough distance between vehicles. The police called on drivers to adhere to traffic guidelines to ensure safe driving, stressing that they will not tolerate any violation that endangers the lives of road users. It is worth noting that the Federal Traffic and traffic law imposes a fine of 400 dirhams on the perpetrators of violations.
