The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has taken significant steps to safeguard public health by shutting down five restaurants and a supermarket due to serious health violations.

This decisive action comes in response to the urgent need for maintaining high food safety and quality standards.

Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority

The Authority clarified that closure orders were necessitated by repeated violations that pose significant risks to food safety and consumer health. These establishments failed to implement corrective measures to address the infractions highlighted in ADAFSA's food control reports.

ADAFSA confirmed that the closure will remain in effect until the cited violations are remedied. The involved establishments may resume operations only after they rectify their shortcomings and meet all required food safety standards.

This course of action is part of ADAFSA’s ongoing inspections aimed at reinforcing the food safety framework in Abu Dhabi. The Authority continues to emphasize its regulatory role, ensuring that all food outlets comply with safety requirements.

ADAFSA also encourages the public to report any food safety violations, including instances of food contamination or non-compliance, by contacting the Abu Dhabi Government's toll-free number (800555).
