Bahrain’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority has released the results of its inspection campaigns and visits carried out across the Kingdom during August 2026, in coordination with relevant government agencies as part of continuing efforts to ensure compliance with labour market and residency regulations.

The authority carried out 3,152 inspection campaigns and visits during the month. The operations resulted in the detention of 77 violating and irregular workers, while 543 violators were deported, with legal measures taken in connection with violations identified during the inspections.

The enforcement activity included 2,973 inspection visits covering commercial establishments across all governorates, in addition to 179 joint inspection campaigns. These comprised 93 campaigns in the Capital Governorate, 27 in Muharraq, 27 in the Northern Governorate and 32 in the Southern Governorate.

The inspections identified violations related to laws regulating Bahrain’s labour market and residency system. The authority said coordination with government agencies would continue as inspection activity is intensified across the Kingdom to address practices that could negatively affect labour market stability and competitiveness.

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority also called on members of the public to support efforts to combat illegal labour practices and irregular employment by reporting suspected labour market violations through the approved official channels, as part of Bahrain’s continuing enforcement and regulatory efforts.
