Meta reveals new WhatsApp updates for customizing and interacting with status posts, including voice stickers and a "Layout" tool.
Meta continues to update its applications consistently to keep pace with rapid global advancements.
In a new move, the American company has announced forthcoming updates to the "Status" feature on WhatsApp.
This includes the introduction of creative tools aimed at enhancing interaction and allowing content customization.
The new service enables users to create and add voice stickers to their status, along with the ability to share audio clips directly as standalone posts in the status updates.
WhatsApp has also introduced the "Layout" tool, allowing users to design collages within a single frame, with the possibility of adding up to six photos in a customized layout to post in their status.
Among the new additions is an interactive sticker called "Add Yours," which enables followers to respond with their own photos.
It also allows users to convert images into stickers that can be resized and reshaped freely before adding them to a status update.
Meta confirmed that these new features will begin rolling out gradually to users in the near future and will be widely available in the coming months.
It is worth noting that since last March, WhatsApp has offered the option to include audio clips of up to 15 seconds with photos, or 60 seconds with videos from its audio library.
These updates are part of WhatsApp's efforts to enhance the user experience and focus on interactive content.
