The Commission has provided "Meta," the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, along with TikTok, an opportunity to present their defense or make necessary adjustments to their applications in order to avoid financial penalties.
The Commission highlighted concerns that the three applications do not adequately allow researchers access to their data as required by the EU Digital Services Act.
