Parkin Company PJSC partners with charge&go in a decade-long plan to launch ultra-fast EV chargers across Dubai by October 2025.

In a progressive step towards sustainable mobility, Parkin Company PJSC, Dubai’s foremost provider of paid public parking, has embarked on a strategic 10-year partnership with charge&go, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding (ESH) under the e& group. This collaboration seeks to install 200 ultra-fast direct current (DC) electric vehicle charging stations throughout Dubai, significantly advancing the city's electric vehicle infrastructure.

The rollout is slated for October 2025, introducing state-of-the-art DC charging technology at vital locations across the emirate-from residential areas to bustling retail and leisure centers. The initiative addresses the needs of Dubai's swiftly expanding electric vehicle market, which now boasts over 40,000 EVs.

Promising to reduce charging times to under 30 minutes, this project aims to enhance convenience for drivers while supporting Dubai's broader goals within its 2040 Urban Master Plan and green mobility objectives.

Phase One: Initial Deployment and Expansion

The initial phase will see the deployment of 20 charging stations in some of the city’s most active zones. Over the following year, this will expand to a total of 200 public and private points forming a comprehensive citywide network.

Stations will function on a 'park and charge' basis, ensuring vehicles occupy spaces only while actively charging-an approach intended to minimize misuse and ensure equitable access for all EV users.

This technologically advanced experience will be integrated with Parkin's mobile app. Users can reserve spots, receive real-time updates, and make secure payments through the app-a testament to both companies' dedication to smart city solutions.

A Shared Vision for Green Mobility

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin stated,“This partnership with charge&go exemplifies our commitment to cleaner, tech-driven mobility solutions.” He added that collaborating with e& allows them to leverage global expertise aiding in Dubai’s evolution into a sustainable future-ready metropolis.

Echoing these sentiments, Muammar Al Rukhaimi, CEO of Etisalat Services Holding remarked,“Dubai is setting new standards on urban sustainability. This rollout is pivotal; we're not only improving accessibility but enhancing user experiences through quicker charges.”

Laying Foundations at GITEX Global

The foundation for this partnership was established during GITEX Global in October 2024-the world-renowned technology exhibition-where Parkin and charge&go formalized their agreement through an MoU.

Currently managing approximately 212,000 paid parking spaces across Dubai positions Parkin ideally for advancing this EV initiative alongside existing infrastructure.

This endeavor marks more than just an improvement in convenience-it's a significant leap forward in Dubai's journey toward sustainable urban transport. Combining cutting-edge technology with seamless digital integration aligns perfectly with global climate ambitions as Akhbrna News notes this sets an exemplary standard for regional green mobility.
