Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity in the United Arab Emirates Government, stated that there are three main threats whose cyber severity will double over the next fifty years, with the many small incidents that lead to phones being hacked and their data stolen.

He stressed that despite the high level of seriousness of these crimes in light of the amazing technological progress, solutions have been developed to combat them using the same technology, including a system that works according to a proactive strategy to repel any cyber attacks.

Types of cyber crimes:

Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council, said that the tremendous developments in the field of communications and artificial intelligence will lead to great risks threatening people, countries, and institutions, He divided these crimes into three forms:
The first is cybercrime that violates the personal safety of people and their property, the second is cyberterrorism that targets people, and the third is cyberwarfare, which has already shown signs of life in a number of cases.

Classification of cyber crimes:

He pointed out that the crimes that affect society in all its aspects are electronic crimes such as “insult, slander, fraud, slander, electronic blackmail, and impersonation” He stressed that these threats have become more serious in light of the development of methods of fraud, social engineering, deception, and misleading. He continued that there are three threats, Or major challenges that will multiply in the coming years.
He stressed that these methods will become faster and that electronic piracy techniques have reached a dangerous level by exploiting the flaws of email, mobile devices and cloud computing (iCloud), and this has made traditional piracy by sending links or “viral” files obsolete.
Al-Kuwaiti stated that experts are working on developing strategies to deal with these risks given people’s awareness of their seriousness and security methods and solutions using similar technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Anti-phone hacking vulnerabilities system:

Al-Kuwaiti added that we have a deterrence system that works proactively to repel any cyber attack, relying on advanced technologies, and there is broad international cooperation to combat these threats. He stressed that although technology entails many risks, it also has some of its greatest advantages, and the Council’s message is to Create an individualized culture of cybersecurity for both institutional and global security.
