In implementation of the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced the extension of the Nafis program until 2040, in a strategic move that reflects the UAE commitment to sustainable Emiratisation and strengthening the role of citizens in the private sector as key partners in economic and social development.
During the meeting of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council held at Qasr Al Watan, new updates to the Nafis program were approved in line with the Year of the Family 2026, including adjustments to child allowance benefits for citizens without setting a maximum number of children, reinforcing family stability as a core pillar of society.
The updates also included the launch of new support programs for children of Emirati mothers and wives of citizens working in the private sector, reflecting a national direction toward strengthening family cohesion and enabling broader participation in the labor market to support economic growth.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the second batch of the Nafis Leaders program graduated with 25 participants, featuring interactive workshops and direct engagement with leaders and specialists across sectors, aiming to enhance leadership capabilities, foster innovation, and apply modern concepts in the workplace.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that extending Nafis represents a cornerstone in empowering national talent and boosting competitiveness, noting that the program has achieved remarkable results since its launch, employing over 176000 citizens including 152000 working across 32000 companies, with women representing 74 percent of beneficiaries, alongside thousands benefiting from training initiatives, demonstrating its effectiveness in advancing the UAE future vision.
