Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a memorable performance for Al Nassr, capping a 4-1 victory over Al Khaleej with a stunning overhead kick during Matchweek 9 of the Roshn Saudi League on Sunday.
The Portuguese forward found the net deep into stoppage time, marking a fitting end to an authoritative showing by the league leaders. With this win, Al Nassr extended their unbeaten streak and increased their points tally to 27, maintaining a four-point lead over second-placed Al Hilal.
Al Khaleej remain in seventh position with 14 points following this result.
The match began with Joao Felix opening the scoring for Al Nassr in the 39th minute. Wesley added another goal just three minutes later to put the hosts firmly in control before halftime.
Shortly after the break, Murad Al Hawsawi provided hope for Al Khaleej by reducing the deficit. However, Sadio Mane quickly responded in the 77th minute to restore Al Nassr’s two-goal advantage.
The highlight of the evening came in stoppage time when Ronaldo executed his spectacular bicycle kick in the fifth minute of added time. The goal brought spectators at Al Awwal Park to their feet and sealed an emphatic win for his side.
In another fixture on Sunday, Al Taawoun managed to secure a dramatic late point against Neom FC in Buraidah. Walid Al Ahmad headed home an equalizer just one minute before full-time after Said Benrahma had earlier converted from the penalty spot for Neom.
