The Ministry of Education has outlined the framework for implementing the distance learning system during the first two weeks of the third academic term for the 2025-2026 academic year which is scheduled to begin on Monday March 23 as the ministry emphasized that this model goes beyond traditional virtual classes and represents a comprehensive educational system designed to ensure the continuity of learning from home with high efficiency and consistent academic outcomes.
According to the Parents Guide to Distance Learning the ministry explained that the learning components include a wide range of modern tools and teaching methods led by live online classes with teachers in addition to independent learning activities that students complete on their own as well as offline educational tasks such as reading writing and creative activities alongside recorded lessons and presentations that allow students to review the content at any time.
The ministry confirmed that this diversity reflects a qualitative transformation in the concept of distance education as it is no longer a simple transfer of classroom teaching to a digital screen but has evolved into a complex and integrated model that combines direct interaction self learning and practical application in a way that addresses individual differences among students and gives them greater flexibility in understanding lessons based on their abilities and learning pace.
It also pointed out that adopting multiple learning methods enables schools to distribute the educational process more effectively which helps overcome challenges associated with relying on a single approach especially in home environments that vary in readiness and resources thereby enhancing the overall learning experience for all students.
In the same context the ministry stated that school administrations are responsible for organizing the learning process by publishing schedules and instructions through approved digital platforms and official communication channels while stressing the importance of parents following these channels exclusively to ensure access to accurate information and avoid confusion or misinformation as the ministry emphasized that the success of distance learning depends on the integration of roles between schools and families within a flexible educational environment aimed at achieving effective and sustainable learning outcomes.
