Saudi Arabia’s Public Transport Authority has announced the launch of new bus routes dedicated to passengers arriving by land from Kuwait, enabling seamless transfers to continue their journeys by air through key airports across the Kingdom.
The Public Transport Authority stated that the first route connects Al Khafji border crossing with King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while the second route links Al Ruqai crossing east of Hafar Al Batin with Al Qaisumah International Airport, enhancing integration between land entry points and aviation hubs.
According to the Public Transport Authority, six direct daily trips will operate in both directions for each route, bringing the total number of scheduled daily journeys to 12 trips, offering greater flexibility and convenience for travelers.
The Public Transport Authority emphasized that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to develop the transport sector, expand mobility options, and improve the overall travel experience for passengers entering the Kingdom through land border crossings.
The Public Transport Authority concluded that these new routes strengthen logistical connectivity between Kuwait border crossings and Saudi airports, while ensuring the availability and continuity of transport services in line with infrastructure development goals and high standards of passenger comfort and safety.
