The UAE has added more costs for acquiring an Emirates ID in recent upgrades. The fee has increased by AED 100, announced the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA). This move now affects several ICA services by making the regular Emirates ID charge AED 370 a higher than the prior AED 270.

Emirates ID Rates

Those who want to renew or get their Emirates ID will find many modifications across several categories with the revised pricing in place. The main fees now in use are broken out here:

  • Fee for a one-year validity term is AED 370 for those seeking for the first time or renewing an already-existing ID. All age groups, including babies seeking their first ID, pay this same cost.
  • Extended Renewal Fees: A two-year renewal runs AED 462; a three-year validity would run AED 562.
  • Available for individuals looking for further perks, Golden Emirates ID is a premium ID valued AED 1,260 and good for five years.
  • Should an Emirates ID be stolen or lost, people have to pay AED 562 for a replacement. This holds consistently independent of the validity time of the original ID.
  • Those changing sponsors in the United Arab Emirates must formally apply. Covering administrative and processing costs, the fee structure for this is AED 462 for a two-year transfer and AED 362 for a one-year transfer.

Extra Fees linked to Emirates ID

Apart from the standard fees, many additional expenses could apply throughout the ID application procedure. These fees support different stages in obtaining an Emirates ID:

  • Emirates ID 5-Year Issuance Fee (AED 100) pays for the actual five-year ID card issuing.
  • One-time payment supporting the general administrative and processing needs of the ICA connected to Emirates ID is the service fee, AED 150.
  • For candidates who use typing centers to help with data entry and form submission, a typing fee—AED 30—applies, meant to guarantee appropriate data management.

Should an application require the Emirates ID immediately, they can pay this extra charge to hasten processing times and guarantee they obtain their ID within one day or two.

Fee structure

The validity length of an Emirates ID determines its cost for acquiring:

  • AED 370 is 1-year validity.
  • AED 470 for two years; Golden Emirates ID (5 years) AED 1,262

Emma ID Processing Time

Standard processing takes usually seven to ten business days. Those who choose the urgent processing option, however, should anticipate getting their ID 24 to 48 hours later.

Requesting an overseas Emirates ID

Applications for Emirates ID must be completed physically in the UAE. Applications from Pakistan, for instance, must:

  • Currently have a valid UAE visa.
  • See doctors in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Apply by means of channels permitted by ICA.
  • Complete biometric data registering at an ICA center.

Dubai Emirates ID Cost

Dubai citizens follow the same pricing structure as described since the Emirates ID fee structure is uniform across the UAE:

  • One year validity: AED 370
  • Two years validity: AED 470.
  • Five years Golden Emirates ID: AED 1,260

Replacement Prices

The replacement charge is AED 562 should an Emirates ID be lost, stolen, or damaged. This cost is applicable independent of the original validity period of the ID.

Charges on Emirates ID

Usually, the applicant pays for these expenses. In situations when the applicant's visa is employer-sponsored, the company might cover the costs as part of the job package though. To prevent misconceptions, candidates should make clear to their company their financial obligations.

These updated prices and policies reflect the ICA's continuous changes to Emirates ID rules, hence both residents and expats should keep informed about the related expenses.
