Kuwait has officially declared a holiday to honor the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). This announcement was made by the Kuwaiti Cabinet, stating that all ministries, government bodies, public institutions, and agencies will suspend operations on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The holiday marks the commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday, corresponding with the year 1447 AH in the Islamic calendar.
As Friday and Saturday constitute Kuwait's regular weekend, citizens will enjoy an extended three-day break. This provides an opportunity for relaxation and celebration among families and communities across the nation.
Kuwait Announces Public Holiday
The decision was revealed during the Cabinet’s weekly meeting held on Tuesday. The session was presided over by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al Sabah. Following this brief hiatus, normal operations are scheduled to resume on Sunday, September 7.
