Dubai Municipality has entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Parkin, aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of Dubai's parking infrastructure through innovative smart and sustainable solutions.

As part of this MoU, Parkin will assume management responsibilities for certain free public parking spaces owned by Dubai Municipality. The collaboration extends to joint planning efforts, regulatory streamlining, permit procedure enhancements, and data exchange to facilitate smarter parking management strategies.

Strengthening Urban Mobility

This agreement was formalized in the presence of Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of the Municipality, and Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, Chairman of Parkin’s Board of Directors. It outlines a strategic framework aimed at operational excellence, improved user experience, and the support of long-term urban mobility objectives.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at the Municipality, commented: “This MoU is in alignment with our mission to develop integrated infrastructure that mirrors Dubai’s vision for a smart and sustainable future. Through this partnership, we seek to enhance service quality and efficiency while supporting Dubai’s strategic goals for urban sustainability.”

The agreement paves the way for prospective investments in multi-story parking facilities and expanded services during major events. It also proposes developing unified criteria for converting private plots into public parking areas alongside implementing advanced access and payment technologies.

This MoU highlights an overarching public-private initiative designed to position Dubai as a global leader in urban innovation and mobility challenges aligned with the principles outlined in the 2040 Urban Master Plan.
