The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) announced that the UAE will be affected, from next Friday night through December 19, by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper low that will deepen at times and weaken at others. This weather pattern will lead to varying cloud formations and provide a chance of scattered rainfall at intermittent intervals.

According to the NCM, winds will range from southeasterly to northeasterly, occasionally shifting to northwesterly, with speeds remaining light to moderate but becoming active at times, especially with cloud development.

These conditions may cause blowing dust over inland areas. Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate, turning rough at times in the Arabian Gulf during cloud activity, while remaining slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

The center noted that Wednesday and Thursday will see generally fair to partly cloudy conditions, particularly in eastern areas, with light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds. Sea conditions will stay slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

On Friday, the weather will be fair to partly cloudy, becoming cloudy by night and into Saturday morning over islands and coastal areas, with a chance of rainfall. Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming active at 10–20 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h, while the sea remains slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.

For Saturday, the NCM expects partly cloudy to cloudy weather with continued chances of rain, especially over islands, coastal regions, and parts of the north. Humid conditions will prevail overnight and early Sunday over some inland areas.

Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally freshening at 10–25 km/h, reaching 40 km/h, with sea conditions remaining slight to moderate and occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf, and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
