The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in the United Arab Emirates announced new decisions regarding settling the status of residents who violate the residency conditions in the Emirates, and exempting them from financial fines.
The Authority also announced that the entry ban stamp will not be placed again upon leaving the country.
Re-registering previous fines on violators
For his part, Major General "Suhail Saeed", Director General of the Authority, confirmed that the Authority will intensify inspection campaigns in potential locations for violators in cooperation with partners from government agencies during the coming period.
Adding that the Authority will take legal measures against violators and re-register previous fines on violators who failed to correct their status during the grace period.
No extension of the deadline for correcting the status of violators of residency
The Authority also confirmed that the deadline for correcting the status of violators, which came into effect as of September 1st and continues until October 31st, will not be extended.
The authority added that it will start, in coordination with the relevant authorities, intensive campaigns starting from the first of November, to arrest violators and re-register fines for those who did not correct their status within the deadline.

For his part, the Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, Major General Sultan Al Nuaimi, confirmed during a press conference at the Authority's headquarters in Sharjah yesterday, that "there is no extension of the deadline for violators after October 31, and intensive campaigns will be implemented to arrest them starting from November 1 in coordination with.
Al-Naimi urged violators to take advantage of the grace period before it expires and remedy their conditions using the resources offered, in order to avoid any processes after it expires.
