The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates has released new details regarding the air defense operations carried out by the UAE armed forces in response to a series of aerial threats targeting the country as the ministry confirmed in an official statement that the UAE air defense systems successfully intercepted and dealt with ten ballistic missiles and twenty six drones that were launched from Iran toward the UAE during the latest wave of attacks while emphasizing that the country air defense network acted with high efficiency and precision to neutralize the threats and safeguard the national airspace as well as protect the safety of residents and the country critical infrastructure.

According to the statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Defense the latest interceptions are part of a broader series of defensive operations conducted since the beginning of what the ministry described as the Iranian aggression as the UAE armed forces have successfully dealt with a large number of aerial threats during this period including two hundred and seventy eight ballistic missiles fifteen cruise missiles and one thousand five hundred and forty drones that attempted to target the country at various times while the integrated defense systems of the UAE were able to detect track and neutralize these threats using advanced surveillance technologies and coordinated defensive measures.

The ministry also revealed that these attacks resulted in a number of casualties and injuries among civilians as six people were reported dead including individuals of Emirati Pakistani Nepali and Bangladeshi nationalities while a total of one hundred and thirty one people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate and the injured included individuals from a wide range of nationalities including Emirati Egyptian Sudanese Ethiopian Filipino Pakistani Iranian Indian Bangladeshi Sri Lankan Azerbaijani Yemeni Ugandan Eritrean Lebanese Afghan Bahraini Comorian Turkish Iraqi Nepali Nigerian Omani Jordanian Palestinian Ghanaian and Indonesian nationals.

The UAE Ministry of Defense emphasized that the country military and security institutions are continuing to closely monitor the situation while taking all necessary measures to ensure the protection of the state and the safety of its population in light of the security challenges posed by these attacks as the armed forces remain actively engaged in strengthening their defensive readiness and enhancing operational capabilities in order to confront any potential threats that may target the territory or airspace of the United Arab Emirates while coordination between all relevant authorities remains ongoing to guarantee rapid response to any emerging risks.
