The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates has released new operational details regarding the latest air defense activities carried out on March 10 2026 confirming that the UAE air defense systems detected nine ballistic missiles launched toward the country during the day According to the official statement the advanced defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed eight of those ballistic missiles while one ballistic missile fell into the sea without causing any impact on the territory of the UAE The ministry also confirmed that thirty five drones were detected during the same timeframe with twenty six drones successfully intercepted by air defense units while nine drones fell within the territory of the country as part of the ongoing defensive operations conducted by the UAE Armed Forces to safeguard national airspace and maintain the security and stability of the state.

The Ministry of Defense explained that these figures are part of the broader operational data recorded since the beginning of what it described as the Iranian attacks against the country During this period the UAE air defense systems detected a total of two hundred and sixty two ballistic missiles launched toward the UAE Out of this number two hundred and forty one ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed before reaching their targets while nineteen missiles fell into the waters of the sea and only two ballistic missiles landed inside the territory of the country demonstrating the advanced capabilities of the UAE air defense network and the high level of efficiency achieved by the armed forces in detecting and neutralizing missile threats before they pose a significant danger to the population or infrastructure.

The ministry further revealed that the attacks also involved the extensive use of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles where a total of one thousand four hundred and seventy five drones were detected since the start of the attacks According to the statement the UAE air defense systems managed to intercept one thousand three hundred and eighty five of these drones while ninety drones eventually fell inside the territory of the UAE In addition the defense systems successfully detected and destroyed eight cruise missiles during the same period highlighting the operational readiness and technological capability of the UAE Armed Forces in dealing with multiple types of aerial threats through advanced surveillance networks rapid response systems and highly trained defense units operating around the clock.

Regarding the human impact of these attacks the Ministry of Defense confirmed that the incidents resulted in six fatalities from several nationalities including Emirati Pakistani Nepali and Bangladeshi nationals The authorities also recorded one hundred and twenty two injuries classified as minor to moderate involving individuals from a wide range of nationalities including Emirati Egyptian Sudanese Ethiopian Filipino Pakistani Iranian Indian Bangladeshi Sri Lankan Azerbaijani Yemeni Ugandan Eritrean Lebanese Afghan Bahraini Comorian Turkish Iraqi Nepali Nigerian Omani Jordanian and Palestinian nationals All injured individuals received the necessary medical care according to the established healthcare procedures followed in the UAE.
