The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, has introduced a comprehensive Worker Safety and Awareness Guide aimed at strengthening preparedness among workers across the United Arab Emirates and enhancing their ability to respond effectively to emergency situations and potential risks in various environments.
The guide is structured around four key pillars including debris hazards early warning community responsibility and media conduct, providing detailed and practical instructions designed to guide workers toward safe behavior during critical incidents while emphasizing strict compliance with official directives and avoiding misinformation or unverified content that may escalate risks.
A major focus of the guide highlights the dangers associated with falling objects and debris resulting from aerial interceptions, clearly instructing workers to avoid approaching touching or photographing such materials due to their potential hidden risks, and urging immediate reporting to authorities via the emergency number 999 to ensure proper handling by specialized teams.
Within the media conduct section the guide strongly warns against capturing or sharing images and videos of accident sites or damage across digital platforms, as such actions may spread fear and disrupt official emergency response efforts, while also prohibiting the circulation of manipulated or AI generated content that could mislead the public and compromise safety operations.
Regarding early warning procedures the guide advises workers to remain indoors upon receiving alerts stay away from windows and exposed areas and wait for further official instructions before taking any action, while reinforcing the concept of community responsibility by stressing that public safety depends on individual awareness disciplined behavior and refusal to engage in suspicious activities that could threaten security or lead to legal consequences.
