The United Arab Emirates has broadened its unified government services initiative with the introduction of a comprehensive suite for domestic worker services.
This enhancement is part of the Work Bundle platform, aiming to streamline processes and boost efficiency in key employment areas.
Available on the "Work in UAE" platform, the new offerings facilitate issuing, renewing, and cancelling residency visas for domestic workers while also providing medical examination services. Users now enjoy seamless access through a single digital portal.
This streamlined approach allows customers to complete residency procedures by submitting standardized electronic forms online. The process includes uploading identification and passport details, signing contracts digitally, arranging medical exams, receiving results, and obtaining both Emirates IDs and residency visas without needing to visit offices in person.
UAE Domestic Worker Visa Services
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), in partnership with several federal entities, launched this initiative. It aligns with the UAE's Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme-a national effort to cut unnecessary steps and enhance customer experience while solidifying the nation's status as a global hub for living and working.
Khalil Ibrahim Khoori, Undersecretary of Labour Market and Emiratisation Operations at MoHRE, emphasized that this collaborative effort supports national goals. He stated: “This initiative meets the objectives of the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, reflecting the vision set forth by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.”
Khalil further noted that these developments continue past successes from previous platforms like Invest in Dubai and DubaiNow portals-highlighting the UAE’s leadership in embracing digital governance and artificial intelligence.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security praised the Work Bundle as “a pioneering example of governmental integration,” enhancing public service delivery through efficient collaboration among various departments.
Work Bundle Enhancements
Suhail remarked that these enhancements reduce procedural steps significantly. "By consolidating channels," he said, "the system improves life quality while easing demands on residents and authorities alike." Adding domestic worker services underlines their commitment to protecting stakeholders' rights within this framework.
The MoHRE confirms that users benefit from a unified application form integrated across multiple government bodies via a singular payment system-eliminating redundant paperwork efficiently. With advanced data exchange capabilities tied into national infrastructure like Government Services Bus (GSB) and UAE PASS systems-this platform ensures proactive service delivery that's secure yet user-centric.
