Al Wathba, a suburb of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, is preparing to host one of the largest New Year's Eve celebrations in the UAE and the region.

According to a statement, the Higher Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival is finalizing an exceptional program that will combine a spectacular fireworks display lasting over an hour, the world's largest drone show, and a range of cultural and heritage activities presented by participating countries, sponsors, and strategic partners.

The grand New Year's Eve festival is set to feature unprecedented fireworks displays, aiming to break five Guinness World Records across five separate stages throughout the night.

The celebrations will begin at 8:00 PM and culminate at midnight with a continuous 62-minute main show. Using cutting-edge launch technology and synchronized visual effects, the display promises to illuminate the skies above Al Wathba with a truly breathtaking spectacle.

It is also worth noting that this massive celebration will feature a spectacular drone show with 6,500 drones in a single 20-minute flight. During this show, nine giant aerial art formations will be displayed for the first time globally.

The drone formations will also seamlessly integrate with the digital countdown and fireworks, creating a unified visual experience that highlights the festival’s innovative approach to large-scale entertainment.

It is also worth noting that the New Year’s Eve program features active participation from official sponsors and strategic partners, each offering unique experiences through their dedicated pavilions and platforms at the festival site.

These contributions are expected to include interactive presentations from government entities introducing visitors to Emirati heritage and culture, as well as technological displays from sponsors specializing in lighting, lasers, and drones.

Participating countries will also present cultural and artistic performances through their respective pavilions.

It is worth mentioning that the festival organizers emphasized that this collaboration highlights the pivotal role of partnerships in supporting major national events and enhancing the festival’s position as an international event that combines entertainment, innovation, and culture.
