The Ministry of Defense in the United Arab Emirates announced that the country’s air defense systems successfully intercepted a new wave of aerial threats on Monday including six ballistic missiles and twenty one drones launched from Iran the ministry confirmed that the UAE armed forces detected and dealt with the incoming threats in accordance with established defense procedures ensuring the protection of the nation’s airspace and the safety of residents and vital infrastructure across the country while demonstrating the high operational readiness of the armed forces in confronting any threats targeting national security.

According to the Ministry of Defense the latest defensive operation comes as part of a broader series of military responses carried out since the beginning of what it described as blatant Iranian attacks against the UAE during this period the country’s integrated air defense network has continuously monitored and intercepted various aerial threats including ballistic missiles cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in an effort to safeguard the nation’s airspace and maintain stability despite the security challenges facing the region.

The ministry revealed that since the beginning of the Iranian attacks the UAE air defense systems have successfully dealt with a total of three hundred and four ballistic missiles in addition to fifteen cruise missiles and one thousand six hundred and twenty seven drones highlighting the effectiveness of the country’s integrated defense capabilities and the coordination between military units responsible for monitoring and protecting the nation’s airspace and critical infrastructure.

In a related update the Ministry of Defense confirmed that the ongoing attacks resulted in the martyrdom of two members of the UAE armed forces while they were performing their national duty defending the country it also reported the deaths of five civilians from various nationalities including Pakistani Nepalese Bangladeshi and Palestinian nationals while one hundred and forty five individuals were injured with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and severe these injured individuals include nationals from the UAE Egypt Sudan Ethiopia the Philippines Pakistan Iran India Bangladesh Sri Lanka Azerbaijan Yemen Uganda Eritrea Lebanon Afghanistan Bahrain Comoros Turkey Iraq Nepal Nigeria Oman Jordan Palestine Ghana Indonesia and Sweden.

The Ministry of Defense concluded its statement by affirming that the UAE armed forces remain on full alert and ready to respond to any potential threats targeting the country’s security emphasizing that all military units and air defense systems are operating at the highest level of preparedness to confront any attempt aimed at destabilizing the state while ensuring the protection of its sovereignty national interests and the safety and stability of society across the United Arab Emirates.
