 Under this program, all expenses connected to death-related activities-from embalming and repatriation of remains to death certificate issuing-will be totally reimbursed.

Leading this humane program for expatriates in the emirate is the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH). Sanadkom wants to reduce the emotional and financial load on bereaved families by streamlining the sometimes difficult operations required. Previously only accessible to UAE nationals, the growth shows the government's dedication to inclusiveness and support of every part of the society.

Sanadkom provides a broad spectrum of services to help households during this difficult period. Under the scheme, Ma'an Authority of Social Contribution will cover all costs connected to death-related services. Families can finish all the procedures straight in the Abu Dhabi healthcare facility where the death took place, so saving the need to visit several government agencies.
Under family permission, the attending physician helps to complete the required paperwork including permits and reports.
