Wednesday, January 1, 2025 is an official paid holiday for all private sector workers in the nation, stated the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization on the occasion of the new year.

"The markets of the United Kingdom, France, Thailand, as well as Azerbaijan and Morocco topped the interests of Emirati citizens during the New Year's celebrations," said Mamoun Humaidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego, which specializes in the travel and online booking services sector, noting that "searches from the UAE abroad under Wego during the current month, about 450 thousand searches, reflecting a strong demand to travel."

"London is one of the most prominent destinations for Emiratis on New Year's Eve, offering a winter atmosphere and festive events such fireworks displays and renowned shopping markets . And in Paris one can enjoy the ambiance and tour well-known sites".

Pointing out that Baku is a developed tourist destination that combines modernity and history, while Morocco is marked by its warm atmosphere, rich culture, and amazing traditional markets, Humaidan continued: "As for Thailand, it offers a distinctive tropical experience with its beautiful beaches and famous islands such Phuket."

Ticket price during this period

"The ticket price during this period is estimated at about 580 US dollars to these destinations, which indicates the keenness of travelers to plan in advance and look for economical travel options that suit their budgets," he said, adding: "these trends reflect the diversity of travelers' needs in the UAE between family and leisure travel, with continuous interest in familiar and new destinations, both".
