The General Pensions and Social Security Authority announced the commencement of pension disbursements for August 2025 tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27, with a total value of AED 843.9 million.

This figure reflects a significant increase of AED 42.6 million compared to August 2024, when pensions amounted to AED 801.2 million.

This confirms the continued expansion in the number of beneficiaries and the increased support provided to them.

According to the Authority's statement, the number of beneficiaries this month rose to 49,940 retirees and beneficiaries, an increase of 1,150 beneficiaries compared to the same period last year.

This reflects the Authority's vital role in strengthening the social safety net and ensuring a decent life for citizens.

The disbursements include those subject to the Authority's approved pension laws, as well as the files it manages on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, within the framework of government cooperation aimed at enhancing the efficiency of pension benefit management and disbursement and expanding the scope of social protection.
