In Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters announced the approved procedures for issuing a vehicle plate in place of a lost one. The "Tamm" electronic platform greatly simplifies the process in the event that one plate is lost, but if two plates are lost, an application must be submitted in person at the closest police station.

The Emirates ID is one of the fundamental documents needed to file the application, the police noted, and if the missing painting is located, it must be given to the closest service center.

Financially speaking, it costs 70 dirhams to issue two long plates, 60 dirhams to issue two short plates, up to 500 dirhams to issue a sports plate, 200 dirhams for each identity plate, 45 dirhams to issue one long plate, and 35 dirhams to issue one short plate.

The application process is visiting the service center or checking in with a digital ID, submitting the application along with the necessary paperwork, paying the relevant costs, and having the replacement plate sent within two days.

The police cited the terms of service, which include the following: if two plates are lost, the customer must go to the closest police station to get the service; the customer may request the service once a month for one plate; and if the same plate is requested repeatedly, the service center should be reviewed.
